“Born from animation, cinema pushed animation to its boundary, only to become one particular case of animation in the end.„
Lev Manovich, Digital Cinema
Animation is an art that combines various disciplines and techniques such as cinema, painting, sculpture, photography etc. This art form was long perceived as the creation of movement frame by frame, and it was widely regarded as an entertainment genre that’s reserved for kids or for “not so serious” audiences.
